Let's talk about... Mariano Vivanco!


Mariano Vivanco is one of the most respect fashion photographers in the World. He was born in Lima, Peru, on the 15th of December,1975 but since early age he started travel the world, settling down in New Zealand.

In 2000, Mariano moved to London with the aim of become a fashion photographer, wich was discovered when he picked up a camera and did a short course in photography at age of 16. And never stopped since then. 


Today he divides his time between London and New York, shooting for internationally renowned magazines, such as:
  • Vogue (USA, Russia, Spain, Japan, Brazil)
  • MUSE
  • Vanity Fair
  • GQ (UK, Spain, Italian, Russia)
  • DSection
  • Dazed & Condused
  • Man About Town
  • Details
  • L'Uomo Vogue
  • Numéro
  • Hércules
  • Man of the World
  • Etc.







His great career started with a collaboration with Dazed & Confused, where he made small thing in the issue, like he says, making "one page here, another page there", that lasts for many years. Mariano was responsable for some of their most iconic covers.


Mariano Vivanco also shot some of the most iconic D&G underwear's ad campaigns.


Mariano is also well-known because of the nudity. Nicola Formichetti says that "Mariano’s nudes have a distinct aura that is very rare. The viewer shares an intimate moment with the photographs. His subjects appear strong but not victimized, confident within their vulnerability. This set of images radiate a glow, light coating each body like a bronzed, golden or copper statue".
